We have come to the end of another school year in Aughrim NS. It has been another year filled with hard work and learning, fun and many highlights along the way. Well done to everyone for their efforts this year and sincere thanks to all our families for their cooperation and support.

We would like to wish our sixth class pupils the very best of luck as they leave us today and head to secondary school in September. Patrick, Séamus, Jamie, Kevin, Ryan, Saoirse, Aoibhe, Grace, Katie and Olivia will be missed and have contributed so much to our school community during their eight years here. We hope they work hard and remember some of the lessons they have learned during their time here and bring their friendships and talents with them as they go.

We will look forward to welcoming everyone else back on the 1st of September and also welcoming our new pupils too. We hope you have a safe and very happy summer break.

As sixth class come close to finishing their time in Aughrim NS, the children had their Graduation Lunch and cake on Thursday 23rd of June. A feast was enjoyed by all! We will miss our sixth class pupils and wish Patrick, Jamie, Séamus, Ryan, Kevin, Grace, Olivia, Saoirse, Aoibhe and Katie the best of luck as they head off to their new schools in September.

Jo We were delighted to have Roscommon players Conor Cox and Rachel Brady to present our Cumann na mBunscol double winning teams with their medals on Thursday 23rd of June. Thank you to Conor and Rachel for taking time out of their day to visit us.

The Senior room children enjoyed their tour on Lough Allen on Friday 10th of June.

Congratulations to our girls and boys football team on their double success at the Cumann na mBunscol finals in Ballyleague this evening. Two very good final games and hard fought wins. Well done to everyone and Mr. Faughnan on their success.
