Our Christmas Sale on Friday last was a huge success. Well done to the children involved and many thanks to the parents who supported our event. A total of €755.80 was raised for donation to St. Vincent De Paul. Some of the parents who visited the school last Friday were treated to a lovely performance of the Sleepy Shepherd by the Junior Room pupils. It was fantastic. We would like to wish our pupils, their parents and the wider community a very happy Christmas and New Year and We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday the 7th of January when school returns following the holidays.

We made our own reindeers in school today using logs and branches. We’re selling them at the sale on Friday to raise money for St. Vincent de Paul. Have a look. 

Today we all dressed up in Christmas jumpers and did something mad with our hair to raise money for charity. We raised €120 for St. Vincent De Paul. Fred the Party Professor came as well and performed a magic show. We all enjoyed it as it was great fun. By Rachel.

Recently, the parish priest, Fr. Thomas celebrated his 30th anniversary of ordination. To celebrate this, there was a special mass in Dangan Church. All of the students from Aughrim, Dangan and Scrabbagh came and sang two hymns, Happy in the Presence and Walk in the Light. After the mass there was a party in Dangan Community Centre, with music, set dancing and refreshments. Everyone enjoyed the party and congratulations to Fr. Thomas on his 30th anniversary! On Thursday 26th of November the school entered a team in the Elphin Library Quiz.  Rachel, Alicia, Darragh and Coman were the four students on the team. The were eight rounds with ten questions in each round. Questions were asked on nature, science, arts, entertainment, history, geography and music. The school scored 56 points and came fourth.
