Next Thursday is World Book Day and the Junior Room and Senior Room are making 3D replicas of a scene from their favorite book inside a shoe box. You can paint the back of the shoe box and then stick on some stickers or print off a picture and use play dough or blue tack to model your people. Some people of already made their shoe boxes and they all look great.

This week, the Book Fair came to school. Everyone bought a book and everyone enjoyed it. There are three sections of books: Starting Out, Ready to Read and Go For It. There were loads and loads of books for everyone. Fifth and sixth were selling the books. Everyone enjoyed it.

Devin O Sullivan from Feast came to us on the 14th of February. He brought Irish foods for us to try them. The Junior Room were with him from 10 o clock to 11 o clock and they were very brave to try some foods they had never had before. After break the Senior Room were with him and tried foods like oysters, sour dough bread and seaweed. He also taught us some about other Irish foods.

The last week of January was Catholic Schools Week. Everyone in the Senior Room made Saint Brigid’s Crosses and the whole school participated in a  prayer service. Everyone had a job during the service and we blessed the crosses.
