We would like to wish everyone well for the Summer holidays. Well done to all our pupils on their hard work this year. There have been a lot of highlights! Good luck to sixth class as they head off to secondary school. We look forward to welcoming back our pupils and their families, especially the new children joining us, on Monday September 2nd.  Stay safe and enjoy the break.

As their time in Aughrim NS comes to an end, 6th class enjoyed their Graduation Lunch on Wednesday 26th. We will really miss Darragh, Sarah, Seán, Caelan, Coman and Cormac and hope they will get on well in Secondary school in the coming year.

Congratulations to our pupils who received certificates to acknowledge their excellent attendance this year. Seán, Sarah, Emily, Keevan, Chole and Eleanor missed no days or just one day of school throughout the year. Well done everyone.

Sports Day on Friday 21st of June was made very special by the visit of the Nestor Cup and Conor Cox, Enda Smyth and Shane Kiloran, all members of the Roscommon Connacht Senior Championship winning team. The players presented medals, signed jerseys, posed for photos and chatted with all the children. It was great to have them visit. See all the pictures in the Gallery.

The children in 2nd to 6th class enjoyed a fun day at Zip It in Forest Park for their school tour on Friday 14th of June. The children in the Junior Room visited Ardcarne Garden centre on Monday the 24th. The garden centre had been the Aistear theme in May and the children got to plant seeds with the staff, have questions answered and take a tour. Congratulations to our boys team who beat neighbours Scrabbagh in the 2-Teacher Final on Thursday 13th of June. The girls team were Runners-up in their final on Wednesday 12th. Well done to all the pupils who worked so hard through the football season with Mr. Faughnan.
