Gaelic Football

The girls had Gaelic matches on Tuesday 30^th of April. They were playing Cloonfour and Runnamoat N.S. The girls won both games. They are now through to the semi-final of Cumann Na mBunscol. The boys had three games against Kingsland, Grange and Strabraggan. They won all their games and are through to the semi-final.

This year our confirmation day was on Wednesday the 10^th of April. 5^th and 6^th children from Aughrim, Scrabbagh and Dangan were all confirmed. The confirmation was held in Aughrim church at four o clock. During mass some of the children had to bring up a gift or read. The mass went on for two hours and after the mass we each got photos with our school and by ourselves with the bishop. Some people went home after the confirmation and others went to hotels and restaurants. We all had a great day.

On Wednesday the 10^th of April the 5^th and 6^th class made their Conformation. The Mass was held in Aughrim Church and Children from Aughrim, Scrabbagh and Dangan participated in the Mass. Bishop Kevin Doran said mass along with Fr Stephen and Fr Ray. Everyone enjoyed the Mass and Bishop Kevin Doran told a story about forgiveness. The Choir sang very nice and there was a good turnout at mass.

As next week in school is Positivity Week, on Friday the students will be participating in a sponsored walk for Down Syndrome Ireland. The walk is from the Kilmore GAA pitch to the school and the students are allowed to walk, run or cycle. All the money raised will go to Down Syndrome Ireland.
