Our Altar this week, celebrating our 2nd and 6th class pupils receiving sacraments in the next few weeks.
Next week Confirmation is on the 3rd of May in Dangan church at 4 o’clock and the ceremony of light is on the 1st also in Dangan at 8 o clock. The schools with pupils making Confirmation this year are Aughrim, Dangan and Scrabbagh.

Congratulations to our Second Class pupils Patrick, Olivia, Aoibhe, Seamus, Jamie, Saoirse, Ryan and Katie who made their First Confession today.

On Friday morning the Junior and Senior room pupils brought in toys, board games and teddies for donation to St Vincent De Paul charity in Carrick – On – Shannon. We all gathered a good amount of toys for lots of children who are less well off than ourselves. Two ladies came to our school to collect all the toys and They talked with us about where all the toys were going. The women brought four boxes of sweets because we collect over 500 euro at Christmas which we donated to St. Vincent De Paul. We had such a fun week during Positivity Week.

On Friday we started off with our 10@10 and morning run. Then we did some baking and we baked some scones, rice crispy buns and buns. Two women came from St. Vincent De Paul to collect our toy collection. Then after we watched Paddington 2 and ate sweets and popcorn.

This week we had Positivity Week, it was great fun one of the things we did was art. We all got a cloud each and we each wrote our names on it. Then depending on how many letters are in your name we got coloured card and for each letter we write something positive starting with the letters from your name on each bit of paper. The people in 5th and 6th class helped the people in the Junior room to do it. Then when we had finished that everyone had to draw a self-portrait. It was very fun. On Wednesday last we had a soccer blitz, the boys and the girls in the senior were playing. The boys had three games and the girls had one. The boys manged to win there three games and girls manged to win there game. In a few weeks now we will be going to Donamon now.

A lady called Christine came to do yoga with us on Thursday and we all enjoyed it and had lots of fun. We did warrior poses and relaxation. She brought mats with her and had music. We all had a great time.

The first day of Positivity week was Outside Learning Day. We all did lots of fun activities outside. The Junior room did PE, window box planting, games such as Hopscotch, Donkey and What’s the Time Mr. Wolf. They also did art using bubbles. The senior room had football training, tunnel work and old fashioned games. Both rooms did a Maths trail around the school. We all had lots of fun on Outside Learning Day.

Last week we had Positivity Week. Everyone loved it. Every day we had Joke of the Day. Two people from 6th class went into the junior & senior room to tell the jokes. Everyone thought they were hilarious. We also did Compliment of the Day where you got a sheet of paper and wrote a compliment about someone. Everyone wrote nice compliments about each other and overall positivity week was a huge success and everyone enjoy it.
