Congratulations to Emily, Brandon, Hugh and Jamie who received their first Confession in Aughrim Church yesterday.

Our Confirmation will take place the week after we come back from our Easter holidays in Roosky Church. We had Confessions yesterday in preparation for our Confirmation. The Confirmation will take place at 11am on the 26th of April.

Aughrim NS school girls and boys team took part in a soccer day out in Castlerea last month. The girl’s team didn’t pass the group stage but the boys teams came first in our league so we went through to the county finals. When we got to the finals, held outside of Roscommon 30/3/17. In the final we got hammered by 0-13 and 0-4. On the way home we stopped at a shop and got a few sweets.

We have been looking after the tunnel in school since the start of Spring. The first thing we planted was onions, then lettuce cabbage and so on. The tunnel took up a lot of time but it was fun. See the pictures in the Senior Room Section.

On the 5 of April Cian, Darragh, Paul and I attended a sport quiz in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon. It was a hard enough and we got 51 right out of 80. The hardest part was the picture round because Rory McElroy and Conor McGregor looked so different when they were younger!
